What does chiropractic care really mean? Can it really help with headaches, asthma, arthritis, etc?
Chiropractic is based on your brain and nervous system and their ability to control and coordinate every function in your body. Your entire nerve system runs through your spinal cord and can only operate properly if your spinal cord is in order.
Headaches, arthritis, asthma and many other ailments are sometimes directly related to a problem in a person’s spinal alignment.
Chiropractors are trained to identify the root cause of a problem. Once they understand your symptoms, they begin to investigate the part of your spine responsible for the malfunctioning part of your body. Think of your spine as a high-rise office building with each floor being responsible for a different set of functions in your body. Quite often, a Chiropractor can trace a problem back to a section of your spine that is out of order, make an adjustment and correct the problem.
They do this for people of all ages, infants through seniors, without using drugs or surgery.

What is included in the free HealthQuest Chiropractic screening?
The screening is to discuss your health history and perform an evaluation to determine if chiropractic care could help you.
How long does this initial health screening take?
Because each patient has individual concerns and health questions, it is hard to say how long the screening will take. However, on average the initial screening is between 30-45 minutes.
Will I receive an adjustment on the first day?
No. The purpose of this screening is for you to discuss your problem with the Doctor and to see if chiropractic care can help you. If the Doctor thinks chiropractic care can help you, they will tell you, if not, the Doctor will let you know that too.
Does it hurt?
No, the evaluation will not hurt. However, as part of the evaluation the Doctor will ask you to get in positions that might feel slightly uncomfortable or new to you. If you feel any discomfort, the Doctor needs to know because it will provide her with information regarding your condition.
Do I have to take x-rays?
Depending on what the Doctor finds during the examination
Are x-rays included in the screening?
They are not included. However, in the event that they are necessary, the Doctor will discuss what is needed. Most insurance companies pay for some or all of the costs.
Why do you need to check my insurance, isn’t the screening free?
Yes, the screening is free. After the screening, the Doctor will discuss your condition. We know from experience that many of our new patients want to know the answers these questions:
Our Doctors can do their best to answer all of these questions except the one about your insurance. In order to answer that, we need to do a courtesy check with your insurance to see what is covered. This way, if you have a problem that can be corrected with chiropractic care, you can know what would be covered by your insurance before you leave. Many of our new patients want us to do the courtesy check before the get here.
