Dr. Marc Wittenberg

Dr. Marc Wittenberg, M.D. is a pain management physician at NeuroPain Consultants with more than 20 years of pain medicine experience. He is an expert in coordinating comprehensive medical care for patients. Dr. Wittenberg works with HealthQuest to help determine the best pain management solutions for our patients.

“My areas of interest include chronic and acute spine disorders as well as neurological pain,” Dr. Wittenberg says. “The most common diseases I treat are spinal radiculopathy, spinal arthritis, muscular/skeletal back problems, spinal stenosis and neck pain, as well as complex regional pain syndromes/rsd, and post herpetic neuralgia.”

Dr. Wittenberg has a distinguished career which includes serving as the former chief of interventional pain services with the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at William Beaumont Hospital. He was also the chief pain physician for the 2004 United States Ryder Cup Team. Dr. Whittenberg is a graduate of the Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit.

“I believe in embracing the whole patient, with a multidisciplinary approach to pain,” he says. “Each patient evaluated has a comprehensive history and physical performed and an individual treatment plan determined. My goal for each patient is to restore and improve their range of motion and function.”
