Meet the Doc Monday – Dr. Melissa Soulliere

  • December 5, 2016

Doctor Melissa Soulliere, D.C. believes in the power of organic solutions. She brings an athletic background and total-body approach to HealthQuest of Southfield, rehabilitating patients and returning them to better physical and mental form.

Following a volleyball injury in high school, severe joint pain and physical discomfort at age 31, Dr. Soulliere found relief, not through numerous doctor appointments and medication, but through chiropractic treatment. This spurred her own chiropractic journey beginning with undergraduate studies at the University of Windsor-Ontario, a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology from National College of Chiropractic, Lombard, IL, and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from National College of Chiropractic, Lombard, IL. It is Dr. Soulliere’s mission to enrich, empower and enlighten as many people as possible to experience optimal health through genuine care and education.

“You are not alone; there is a solution out there for you,” she says. “Movement is a key to healthy living even it is as simple as walking at a slow pace or raising your arms over your head while sitting, we must move.”

Using a comprehensive approach that focuses on the whole person not just the disease or the symptoms, Dr. Soulliere can decrease pain and inflammation and restore joint function through non-surgical spinal decompression, laser therapy, peripheral neuropathy treatment, diet modifications and weight loss. Dr. Soulliere uses these natural methods to increase a patient’s mobility and ideal health, make them smile and empower them to continue leading a healthy life.

When Dr. Soulliere is not in the office, she loves spending time with her family, chasing her curious toddler, attending chiropractic seminars, and practicing yoga. She has traveled abroad with the Palmer College of Chiropractic and supervised student interns while they cared for people in Fiji. A native of Ontario, Canada, Dr. Soulliere now enjoys Michigan’s cider mills and a cup of hot apple cider on a crisp fall day!
